That apparently doesn't change even when they are domesticated creatures.
Can't undo millions of years of evolution there.

The strange thing is that the first thing he always go to is a bottle of vitamins I place on the shutdown button of my laptop for the expressed purpose of the cat not being able to walk over the button and shut down my computer. The little imp has figured out exactly what will cause me the most reaction/anxiety. And zeros in on it.And they say cats are not as good at reading people as dogs.

(50,130 posts)My tabby Chester (RIP) broke every piece of art pottery I ever had, by deliberately knocking it to the floor. Finally I realized that when he got frisky, I would yell at him "Knock it off!!"
And he did just that.

My kitteh attaches herself horizontally to my box springs and then precedes to zip around the circumference of the bed to the headboard then turn herself around and zip around the other way. Not only is it incredibly noisy the vibration is intense. I have learned to sleep through the first few laps, but it eventually wakes me up. I have been wondering what to do about this when I decide to start, um, "dating" again. It's quite alarming if you're not use to it.

(22,845 posts)It keeps the cats and dustbunnies out, AND you don't need a box spring. And you get loads of storage.

(16,377 posts)Except I've got one of those beds that go you can control to raise the head, the feet, and it vibrates. Although frankly, after the first week I stopped using all the functions. Anyway, the "box springs" part of the bed is a must. I'm kind of stuck with it.

On the other hand facebook claims that leaving cucumbers around will scare the living crap out the cats so maybe leave a few around the bedroom.
