There is a new article in Rolling Stone about Kris Kristofferson.
Who knew: He was being treated for Alzheimer's because of memory loss when doctors discovered it Lyme disease instead.
Who knew: He was a prolific songwriter, having written such hits as Me and Bobby McGee, Sunday Morning Coming Down, and Loving Her Was Easier.
Who knew: He was an Oxford-educated, Rhodes scholar?

(27,913 posts)I knew he was a Rhodes Scholar.
I also knew that many other singers have recorded his songs, including Johnny Cash, Elvis and Janis Joplin..but I didn't know that "some 500 others" did as well.
I sure did not know about the mis-diagnosis of Alzheimers....Wow!
Lyme Disease is not much fun; but I'm sure he's happy that he doesn't have Alzheimers or dementia.
I loved his first movie.."Cisco Pike".with Gene Hackman, and I saw it several times in theaters.
Thanks for posting this, Stonepounder.

(12,132 posts)But I know I love him. I saw him on tv once doing a smoking hot version of Help Me Make It Through The Night and I can't find it anywhere. Don't remember what show it was on. I saw it maybe 10 years ago but I got the impression it was an older performance. Faster and rockier than the usual performance of that song. I'd kiss a bee on the lips to find that version again.
