When is it time to call the man ??

A person on our street took to a power saw to down a large tree at the base.
Having .calculated that it would fall in the back yard.
Not to be had,,,,the whole thing came down on the house next door.
Needless to say that owner was quite upset
I wonder if insurance will cover being a dumb ass ?? ( house value aprox.$ 200,000 )

If it's big enough to hurt me badly or kill me, I call a tree service that is bonded.

that could have gone wrong.
like if there were people in house at that time a major law suit perhaps is in the future.
at this writing, he is cutting up the left behind scraps for his fireplace.
at the time insurance people are looking at damages that are major.

Tree services will often climb the tree and take out large branches, using ropes to control where they land. Sometimes they will also remove it a section at a time. It's not a DIY project.

all the input,it is good no one was hurt, however the bone head who caused it shall have to $$$.
Another strange thing.....the people with the damaged house elected to stay in their motor home in the street.
Can somebody say insurance pays for hotel ?? I don't get it.
