A blast from the past... Ed Ames tomahawk on Johnny Carson..

I haven't watched this for quite a while... but in re-watching it... I noticed the brilliant timing of JC.
He waited and waited for just the right time to say "I didn't know....."

Maybe the funniest moment ever on tv...I love Ed's classic double take reaction when he sees where it lands. He leaps backwards and goes to retrieve it but Johnny's like, "Wait a minute, let's talk about this awhile".

Ed Ames is still around, he'll be 89 July 9.

Notice the sheriff star has only 5 points?
