I don't get why it is legal. I could see it maybe on a side street. But not major arteries.

People all over the planet use bikes for transport on a regular basis.

You should see the ladies in Paris. I swear I saw a lady one day, in a skirt, heels, briefcase, riding her bike, holding an umbrella (it was raining), talking on her mobile, smoking a cigarette AND holding an espresso.

I rarely see people wearing helmets in Europe when riding in the city. The kids, yes, but not the adults.

It's a bike. Can't keep those kids surrounded in bubble wrap for their whole lives.

I would need 4 hands to ride a bicycle, hold an umbrella, hold a mobile, and hold an expresso. Maybe 6 hands would be better.

Of course I exaggerated the espresso, but I seriously think she had a cigarette too, lol.

I really just stopped dead in my tracks at the aplomb with which she pulled that off. Nearly applauded. It was brilliant!

Viva la France!

My 6 year old rode her own bike and I rode mine with a child on the back and the front. Sometimes I just had to get somewhere and this was before kids wore helmets. This was small town riding and we rode on the backstreets to get to the store or school. Most of the neighborhood children rode their bikes alone to school, too.
