I don't know who the actress is but she has real screen presence. The movie could've used more WW and less LL.

edit: by "LL" I meant Lex Luthor, not Lois Lane. Amy Adams was great as usual.

When you see the previews, you can tell it's just the same old recycled stuff.

With the exception of Deadpool and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Really didn't care for Guardians of the Galaxy, though.

Well, at least that's what poll said.

http://www.rte.ie/news/2010/0721/133605-love/

A poll of 1,000 Australians found almost half said romantic comedies with their inevitable happy endings have ruined their view of an ideal relationship.

One in four Australians said they were now expected to know what their partner was thinking, while one in five respondents said it made their partners expect gifts and flowers 'just because'.

Much better than I was led to believe. Dark and "gritty," yes, but surprisingly effective with some terrific moments.

I can understand that it's not to everyone's taste, but it was leaps and bounds better than Fantastic Four, and it was a nice onscreen realization of many elements that certain fans had been waiting 30 years to see.

...and then I had to google "Why are Batman and Superman fighting?"

From the responses I read it seems that I'd have to have seen the last Superman movie as well as the last Batman movie. I couldn't finish the Superman movie and I didn't bother with Dark Knight Returns--or whatever it was called--because I wasn't a fan of The Dark Knight. I've come to the realization that I'm just not a fan of any of these movies. And it seems that you have to see more than one of them (if not all of them) to make sense of the latest one. A couple years ago I went with my boyfriend to see the latest Ironman movie. He's kind of a fan of them. I got the feeling that I was missing something in the story. Tony Stark seemed to be having some kind of PTSD episodes about some event. Turns out that the event happened in the last Avengers movie, which I didn't see and had no interest in seeing. I'm just coming to terms with the fact that a lot of these movies are not "stand-alone" affairs. It seems that you have to really be invested in all of them.

13. Not sure how they'd connect this from the last Batman movie. Seems out of sync.

Never saw the last Superman movie but I assume there was a lot of property and personal damage inspiring the antipathy in BvS. That was a great plot point for Captain America: Civil War so, imitation being the highest form of flattery...

The action in the 2nd half had less whatthefuckery than the endless series of B-stories in the first half (it was like they couldn't decide how to open the movie so they just kept throwing scenes out there).

All in all it felt like Zack Snyder was punishing us for not letting him make Watchmen II.

Then I read about Gal Gadot - my crush of the moment. But I'll wait until it comes out on Netflix disque.

She'll also be Wonder Woman in the Justice League, another superhero ensemble.

and there are some great visuals. The actors do quite well with what they are given, but Superman and Batman have some really weird motivations that don't really work.

Gal Gadot is electrifying when she is on screen as Diana Prince or Wonder Woman.

Lex Luthor is only tolerable in the extended version, where his character is fleshed out better. It was awful in the short version.

Only for fanboys and fangirls.

Other than that, I hated, hated, hated that fucking movie. It's the movie that made me wonder whether I would ever waste my money on a movie in the theater again.
