Rant: nobody, anywhere, needs a bachelor's degree to be a web programmer



Sorry, just going through the job postings on craigslist and appalled at how often I see that. I mean, I have a bachelor's so it's fine for me, but there's literally no need to use that to weed people out. A web programmer needs a two-month training program.

You need a high school diploma to get a job as a housekeeper. It's a weeding tool to just pick from the most ambitious applicants, when they'll have too many to pick from anyway.
