(23,840 posts)Granted, my property doesn't have a lot of flowering plants that might attract them, but I have seen a few over the years. I hung a H/B feeder for a couple of years when I did see them, but that still didn't seem to draw them to my yard.
Sadly, I did have one that killed itself by flying into my patio screen and breaking its neck. Probably why they haven't come back.

(951 posts)Best thing we did was put a feeder up outside our living room window.
We watch the little guys all the time...they're so amazing.
They try and 'talk' to my wife when she re-fills the feeder - it's quite cute...
We have to re-fill ours every 2-3 days - no shit...
We have dozens.

(31,411 posts)We've had hummer wars constantly for the last few weeks...they really have been going through the juice. Took this a few days ago.
Yesterday I took this shot of one poor little guy who just had to eat even though it was pouring down rain.
