I'm Scared- NPR seems all pro Trump now. Like Twighlight Zone!

I listen to NPR a lot driving around when I'm working. It has been a lifesaver for me listening to things like all things considered especially. Today I was listening to it and they were interviewing all these pro Trump people at the inauguration and they were also full of shit! But nobody was questioning anything they said. If this can happen in 24 hours what's going to happen next. I haven't been on here in a while but I'm here I guess because it feels like it might be safe.

from the Federal gov't. They will make that up from listeners, easily if that 5% is lost. What they are trying to do however, is to lose the liberal label they've unfairly been tagged with by the right. To that end they've been bending over backwards - or just bending over - to attract the right half of the Divided Nation.

WASHINGTON — Donald Trump’s inaugural address held familiar echoes of the campaign speeches that led to his presidential win: downbeat about the state of the nation, to the point of hyperbole. Here’s a look at some of his assertions Friday.

Read President Trump’s full inaugural address

TRUMP: “The jobs left, and the factories closed … the wealth, strength and confidence of our country has disappeared over the horizon.”

THE FACTS: The U.S. economy is a lot healthier than the wreck Trump describes. Jobs have increased for a record 75 straight months. The U.S. unemployment rate was 4.7 percent in December, close to a nine-year low and to what economists consider full employment.

Hey I also noticed I heard one person call it fact checking and then yesterday I heard it called "footnoting " which I wondered if they were trying not to be sticking out in any way? Maybe just a different way of putting it.
Glad to know they have not turned pro Trump!

As Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th U.S. president, protests, demonstrations — and a few celebrations — were underway in cities around the world.

In London, demonstrators holding anti-Trump signs gathered outside the U.S. Embassy on Friday evening. Earlier in the day, huge banners saying "Build Bridges Not Walls" were hung across the city's bridges, part of a U.K. campaign that that began after Trump was elected in November.

I know they talked about protests in DC and had some reporter on K street where a "limo was burning and putting out acrid smoke and I can hardly breathe " and then they switched to three reporters talking about how the celebration was going on and some dude said "liberals have no core values" I'm thinking eff you we have more values that are central to caring about the planet and each other. Then some missionary from Guatemala said "we can finally say Merry Christmas." I guess in Guatemala they couldn't because I've been saying Merry Christmas for years! No there is not a frickin war on Christmas and if she's in Guatemala how would she know.

You can choose who you are hearing. Start with the excellent Pod Save America Podcast
with the Obama guys who have quit their private sector jobs to support democracy with
Jon Favreau, Jon, Lovett, Dan Pfeiffer and Tommy Vietor.

And I was told their news was not going to be impartial anymore with thee federal funding. I wasn't paying close attention yet to what slanted news is (or isn't) and continued o support public radio with an annual donation for another ten years or so (I wanted my coffee-cup collection!) I want news that isn't all slanted liberal or Republican from them and may support them again if that happened, of course news sources have changed a lot over thee years, now I just listen to find out what they're spinning today.

Immediately after W's election. Took them some months but they finally swung back to a more balanced stance.

Can't understand or explain it; perhaps they're just testing the water temperature and trying to avoid offending supporters.
