Escape!

In these precarious and scary times, what are your favorite Escape From Reality movies? I go for SciFi. I've probably seen Alien and Aliens hundreds of times, the Terminator and Star Wars movies. Old classics like the original War Of The Worlds. Cowboys And Aliens is a newer favorite. Out of this world!

We watched it with our boys, ages 10 & 13. They knew a little about The Holocaust, and my older son has discussed it in school, but we wanted them to see this telling of it.

Also, we wanted to remind them why it's not merely "ok" to punch a Nazi: it's good and proper.

That was an interesting movie. But "Split" is in a whole different league.
I can see why you would be crushing on him!

strange, when I looked in IMDB to remember the name, I did not realize there was more than one of these movies

The old shows are MUCH better than the movie recently out - even if Robert Vaughn was a jerk, David McCallum more than makes up for him. It's also fun to see some of the big stars when they were younger. An episode I watched earlier today had Angela Lansbury playing a character that seemed to be a spoof of the Gabor sisters.

As for movies, I love cheap SciFi - the Tremors series is one of my favorites - completely mindless with a bit of humor. A few weeks ago one of the channels ran The Twonky with Hans Conreid. I've been saving it to watch at just the right time. I've also got The Martian on DVR waiting to be watched again and a lot of series - Victoria, the last season of Sherlock from BBC, and more.
