we see our country being run by a group of insane idiots who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground and are making this country the laughing stock of the world.

I've been forcing myself to work out more and get at least a couple minutes of morning sun.
Tonight at the gym the tv was blasting the Bloviator in Chief's rally and it was really getting me down, I looked for the remote or even a button to change the channels, nothing... so I reached behind when no one was looking and pulled the plug. Felt a lot better.

Here's something to make you smile: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1018925207
Hang in there, it's not permanent.

Some things that help me are good music, good movies, intelligent conversation, meditation, marijuana, my art, my cat jumping up and falling asleep on my lap, and having my girlfriend call me just to say Hi.

Don't be alone. Make friends. Talk to people. Enjoy the sunny days and the starry nights.

I can’t really say I have had it all my life, but the more I think about my early years, I can see evidence of depression or general dysthymia. Since then I have had it off and on all my life – that is I have suffered from it and associated illnesses.
One of the worst things is that I feel overwhelmed pretty often and end up in a financial mess because I don’t take care of things – myself included. This is not an explanation that has much sway on landlords, utilities, and other creditors. Just when I start to get things together and back on track it hits me again out of nowhere.
I know that a lot of these things you have mentioned help, but it becomes increasingly hard as I internalize things and blame myself for everything. And when I tell myself that Its not all me, I just feel like I’m lying to myself.
And then there a very real contingencies and emergencies that add to the pressure.
My wife and I have been seeing a lot of Drs. Lately and are both due to have surgery in the next couple of months. I don’t know where the money is going to come from.

that the Co-pay for my surgery is going to be $400. It was scheduled for this Friday, but I have had to put it off because I have the flu. Hopefully this is the tail end of the flu, but I can't get rid of a bad cough. It would definitely interfere with surgery on my neck, I have had this surgery 2x so I know what to expect. Sort of.

This will be my 11th surgery (3 on my neck and spinal chord and 8 on my eyes)

My wife will have the same surgery next month.

I am considering setting up a Go-Fund -Me account.

No good surgeon or anesthesiologist would considwe doing surgery on a patient with a cough, too many things to watch when you're doing surgery & passing gas.
