now, if they left a penny or no money. i would think on the plate, it is even less, cause they made it really easy to retrieve or take away.

spitoon would rank with asshole, though.

What's the difference between a bartender and a proctologist?

Proctologist only has to deal with one asshole at a time.

actually the whole reason this is an asshole move is that what you said doesn't work, so it's obvious you've never waited tables and don't know what you're talking about

i don't know why but somehow no matter how you try you always end up soaked with the water

And though I never had anyone do that to me, I have shown my kids the trick. Having it on a plate makes it really simple. Gees if afraid, carry plate to a sink and take the glass off.

So not a big deal. This is funny

It is tough when it is on the table and you have to slide glass off table onto something else, without spilling

fact of the matter is, i'm not interested in horseshit from folks who ain't been there who think it looks easy

OF COURSE it looks easy to fix it, that's why it's a classic scam

show me on youtube how you picked up a tip w.out getting soaked

put up or shut up

Surely it can't be that hard to visualize. The glass is upside down on a coaster. Slide the glass off the coaster (it will leak a bit). The seal will be between the table and the glass. Slide the glass to the edge of the table until it extends far enough to drain into another glass.

I did it when I was fourteen years old to my art teacher. I had turned a glass full of water upside down using a piece of cardboard then removed the cardboard. She pulled me out of another class expecting me to have to clean up the mess. The solution didn't occur to me until that moment. If a fourtiin year old kid can figure it out, it can't be that hard.

If the glass is on a bar with z bullnose or a raised edge that solution won't work. But if you'll notice the glass is still on the coaster. All You have to do is reverse the process that put it there. The coaster is stiff enough for you to lean it and get a finger under it. And if the bar has a bullnose edge, just slide it far enough over to get a finger under it. You could even slide a knife under the coaster to lean it far enough to get a finger under it.

If you think I'm going to video something so simple and upload it to YouTube to prove it to you you have overrated yourself. I've given You at least three solutions, try it and see.

It would probably not be the first spill of the evening. Stand away from the table and you don't get wet.
