The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsSo, should hubby & I go to the symphony dressed as John Lennon & Paul McCartney?
For reasons I won't bore you with: I am currently in possession of the four jackets (replicas) worn for Sgt. Pepper's.
Tonight, we have symphony tickets for an all-British composers program.
I think it'd be totally fun for us to go dressed as a slightly more modern British composing team.
My husband is not totally on board.
What do you guys think?

We MUST celebrate the joy.

(34,111 posts)obviously not this one but I say, as a musician, that it would be interesting and fun. Why not? The audiences are getting, or staying, older and we need people of all ages to see that they can be fun as well as wonderful. We are doing Pops tonight, not my favorite type of concert but it is a good one filled with fun tricks and sound. Go for it. We may have to wear concert black but you can wear anything you want!
