It was a fantastic drama about people in a small Aboriginal community in the Northwest Territory. It had a largely Native Canadian cast and the stories were riveting. It was a great showcase for some terrific actors like Adam Beach, Tom Jackson, Tina Keeper, Michael Horse, Dakota House and the late, great Gordon Tootoosis and was unlike anything I've ever seen, before.

Here is the Wikipedia article about season 5. When you go to the part that shows the list of episodes you will see that there references and you can see the episode descriptions for the next 4 episodes, which give a small indication of the kinds of things that we will be seeing this season.

Yes, Frasier was one of the better-written "sit coms"-- doesn't even come under that heading, IMO.

What a difference it makes when writers are witty & educated!

The Walking Dead, What On Earth and Taboo.
I watched more TV in the past and favorites include - Dark Shadows, MASH, St Elsewhere, Star Trek, Ancient Aliens, Twin Peaks, The West Wing and Breaking Bad.
10 years ago there was a series called Life On Mars. It was based on one of the longest running TV shows in British History of the same name but the American version was only 16 episodes. A cop in 2006 gets hit by a car and wakes up in 1973. Highlights include Whoopie Goldberg as a Black Panther leader and the main character impressing his squad with his poetry (rap) and his dance moves (the moon walk). It has an all-star cast, incredible writing and hands down, the best soundtrack of any TV show. Ever. Look for it on Netflix.

Andy Sipowicz is the ultimate tragic hero who overcomes adversity and mostly his own demons. He's not pretty, not perfect, and eventually more good than not. He is so different from the first episode of the series to the end that one almost cannot recognize him.

If I road my bicycle fast after school, I could watch it with my friend Karen. They have marathons occassionally on the Decades network and they are so funny now; the black & white, the over the top acting, bad special effects.

My TV viewing pretty much ended in the early 70s. I hated being glued to the TV. Felt it was a waste of time. I didn't even bother to watch the Godfather when it was on TV.

Then, I got Netflix now my faves are Parks and Recreation and Mad Men. I also have a few Novellas which I binged on Netflix.

Fun cast, witty writing, entertaining, imaginative, unpretentious. Laroquette is excellent, but I miss Newhart.

Best Star Trek series in the canon. Brave and innovative writing, superb acting, and the ultimate 8 episode arc series finale.

Genius, irreverent, and way ahead of its time.

LEXX only had four seasons, the first being 4 made for TV movies

Farscape stole there whole show from LEXX, and wasn't half as brilliant

I'm currently watching Mike Connors in Tightrope- Great 1959 Crime Jazz soundtrack, and the female leads are always quite something.

Best theme song (along with the Rockford Files), and one of the funniest series ever made (hard to get the dry humor if your German isn't up to par). A small time lawyer who takes cases he thinks are interesting, has no inhibitions about setting up a bathtub in his office, smoking cigars while sitting in his bubble bath and consuming large quantities of green jello.
