When I was 21, yea, I cared about something like six-pack abs. Now, f**** it, I'm just happy to be in reasonably good health.

(26,262 posts)And I'm also sick to death of self-obsessive duck faced, booty popping selfie takers, what ever their state of dress or undress.
I walked into the women's lavatory at work, once, to see a co-worker standing in front of the full length mirror, snapping away with her smart phone for new photos to put on Facebook. Fortunately she remained fully clothed, even if her clothes didn't quite cover as much as they should have, in a work situation. Unfortunately, for her, all of her photos also included the toilet stalls.

(37,457 posts)Why not a good old-fashioned SMILE ? Smiles are gorgeous. The duck face is.... I dunno... different strokes for different folks I guess.

(17,304 posts)will never sport six-pack abs at any age due to genetics/body composition and diet, of course. You can be in great shape without being "shredded."
I'm like you, in my 40s now and happy to do an hour of cardio three or four times a week, other than walking the dog and some yard work. Some push-ups and sit-ups and that's it.

(20,186 posts)It's good to be fit and all but seeing an old head on a shredded body is just weird. I realize some people really like to work out, but all the hours it takes to get that way when you're older? I'm 60. I'd rather hang out with a man who prefers reading for hours to lifting weights.
