Puns are hard; that's for sure.

I just meant a name for an attempted pun that isn't. Like the picture. Clearly they want "check, mate" but the picture shows stalemate, as you point out.

Congratulations, you just maneuvered into a draw, from a position of strength.
My wife and I occasionally play, and I would rather loose then screwup and be outplayed by stumbling into a stalemate.
