The best hitter in the world!
Perspective:
I saw this on TV this morning. A boy, about ten or eleven goes to an empty baseball lot.
He says:
“I’m the best hitter in the world!” He then tosses a baseball up into the air, swings, misses it, and says “Strike one.”
He then says:
“I’m the best hitter in the world!” He tosses a baseball up into the air, swings, misses it, and says “Strike two.”
Again he says:
“I’m the best hitter in the world!” Again he tosses a baseball up into the air, swings, misses it, and says “Strike three.”
He looks sad, dejected, disappointed. But then his faces lights up, he smiles, and he says:
“I’m the best pitcher in the world!”
