I'm on the dog team, obviously, but I LOL-ed at my high maintenance chihuahua slapped by orange cat

My high maintenance girl gets *PLENTY* of perks, so when her diva-self runs into catness, well, it's funny is all I'm saying.

I was pruning dead twigs when I heard a *SCREAM* from my Chihuahua and saw the big orange cat (not mine) skedaddling itself from the scene.

Poor little dog, looks like he's already suffering from punch/concussion effects like a boxer UTUSN Jun 2017 #4

Plus, my girl was doubtlessly provocative.

Three cats in total. My friend next-door has the adorable, spoiled, high-energy, high-maintenance chihuahua. When my friend comes to visit, the princess comes with her, of course.

The dog wants to play, but the cats will have none of it - nor will they run from her or even move. They DO watch her very closely and swat her on the nose when she gets too close.

This has happened over and over again, almost ritualistically. It's hilarious, but I wonder if the princess will *ever* get the message that my cats just do not like dogs?

Some keep coming back for more, like my neighbor's dog. Others learn quickly enough to give cats a wide berth.

On edit: For the record, the gif is *not* one of my cats and the dog is not my neighbor's dog. It's just an illustrative gif I found on line.
