Is it OK

that after dinner my wife and I sit down to watch MSNBC while reading DU (each on his or her own laptop)? If one of us wants to say something to the other, we have to get the other's attention first by rapping on the table between us.

Do we need help or just a life?

If you're happy in your marriage, and take the time to do things together, then likely you're fine.

What do you think?

We're old enough that by the time we get home from work, watching MSNBC and reading DU is about all we have the strength to do. Besides which, there is so much weird stuff going on that it takes an evening of MSNBC and DU to catch up.

It just occurred to me that me that it was funny that we had developed an unspoken rule to rap on the table before speaking.
