Yes, brave cats but I don't think I could just watch and laugh while my cat takes on a gator or cobra.

There was a tough old barn cat who kept harassing my own cats, mean looking thing with ears bitten down to bloody nubs, crosshatched scars on his forehead, patchy coat. I splatted him with the hose once or twice so my cats could come out of the trees and eat.

One day, I heard a dog raising hell. He'd treed that cat about six feet up. Well, that old cat kept hitching himself around the tree until the dog was in the perfect position, jumped on his back and dug his claws in. The dog took off down the street screeching while that cat hung on, ride 'im, cowboy!

At that point, I decided he was my kind of cat and started to tame him down and rehab him. Once his external parasites were gone, his attitude improved and he turned into a total teddy bear of a tomcat. Ears didn't regrow, though.

So yeah, cats are badass. They just pretend to be sweet around us.

...most of the humans watching/filming are dumbasses for standing by and laughing while the cats could have been harmed or killed.

I have a friend with a fairly friendly male cat but there's a feral female who likes to come by and rape him. It looks rough and bloody and not enjoyable. One would think that after bringing the feral one out of the rain and feeding it, she might not scratch and bite my friend, but nope. She does bring dead squirrels, birds, and lizards as an offering. She's quite the vicious huntress.

Cats can be ferocious when they need to be. And if they get hungry enough, they will take down humans and eat us. Cat bites can be really nasty.

On the flip side, a cat that loves its human might fend off wild animals to protect a human child.

I saw a video of a lion and her 3 cubs all killed by a single cobra. It was tragic.

now use "cat slapping" instead. And I think it might be more appropriate since dogs don't slap.
