Just saw Dunkirk. Wow! What an incredible film!

Astonishing use of non-linear narrative.

I'm glad they didn't pull a stunt like in the film U-571, in which they invented a reason for Americans to be the heroes, when in actual fact, the Americans took no part in the real-life incident depicted in the film.

Incredible war film.

1. I'm looking forward to it. I've told my dad about the film and being a WWII buff

he is interested.

2. We will see it too, my dear Aristus...but at home.

We like our cozy family room with the big flat screen, and the ability to stop the movie for snacks and bathroom breaks, and to run it back to catch something we missed...

It does look great and we love historical dramas!

4. I recommend seeing it in 70 mm if possible.

IMAX/2-3D isn't for everyone.

5. It's definitely on my list.

Will wait for the DVD on NetFlix.

I hope they tell the story of the paddle steamer Gracie Fields and play JB Priestley's BBC radio narrative of her prevails, both of which are iconic with the Dunkirk evacuation.

6. Saw it

and it's well worth seeing. It took a few minutes to understand it's time frame action changes, but thoroughly enjoyed the action. I also learned quite a bit about the history of the British was effort.

7. I was disappointed

Just another war film with air fights and brave soldiers getting killed, not enough focus on how great it was for the British people with all kinds of vessels to rescue 300 thousand stranded soldiers across the channel.

8. That's valid.

Especially since there's no way to overstate the magnitude of that endeavor.

If a similar action were required here in the States, you'd only have people complaining: "Is this gonna increase my taxes?"
