Anybody want to contribute to a Knowledge of Socialism scale?

What I'm looking for is multiple-choice questions that assess basic knowledge of socialist theory. Such an instrument could be very useful for some simple little research projects I'm thinking about.

For folks that are politically uninformed, multiple choice answers act as a clarification of the thinking process.

Let me think on this and get back.

There is such a scale that is more universal, but should fit your needs. I have some problems with it myself, but then again I have problems with ANY system that relegates capitalism and republicanism to any sense of measurability in the first place.

it doesn't assess knowledge, but rather, attitudes. There is a role for this instrument--or something similar--in the project I'm thinking of, but I also need a measure of knowledge, because I want to see the relationship between positive or negative feelings about socialism and actual knowledge of what it is.

One hypothesis that might be advanced and tested with the Compass & the Knowledge of Socialism (KoS) scale is that many of those who react negatively to the term "socialism" actually have communitarian attitudes and values that they don't recognize as "socialist."

Is that what you kind of what you had in mind? Some of them have words in them that might be changed to make them less confusing and more useful for a broader audience.
