1. Recognized it before I scrolled down.

Do you know that the largest (in value) art theft in history was done there?

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, 1990

The March 18, 1990 art heist at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston is considered to be the biggest art theft in history. At 1:24 am two men dressed as police officers approached the employee entrance of the museum. They claimed to be there to investigate a disturbance. After being granted entrance to the museum, the two thieves overpowered the two lone security guards on night duty and stole 13 masterpieces from renowned artists such as Johannes Vermeer, Rembrandt, Edouard, Manet, and Edgar Degas. The 13 masterpieces are collectively estimated to be worth $500 million. (NPR, 2015)

That said, a nice representation of it, since I recognized it "on first scroll" and the colors reflect a cheerful mood.

2. Weirdly, I read a mystery novel based on the heist, but didn't realize it was a true story. They

have empty frames on the walls where the pictures ought to be.

The atrium was amazing. Just overflowing with flowers and greenery.

3. Yes, that's spooky, the empty frames.

I visited much earlier, since I flipped coasts in 1980. So I have an alibi.

I can't remember much of my visit. Too bad. I intended to take pictures, but that was not allowed at the time.

It must be pretty. I have heard many concerts recorded there.
