In the infancy of the band. I was neutral (it was simple, could be dressed up, & would be a fast add to the first songlist) but the guitar player & drummer disliked it. So, we never did it.

after the late 70's disco craze and wasn't really "new wave"; more of a roots rock revival with a punk flavor although I never considered REM a punk band.

Some folk elements in there stuff. We did a couple if their songs, but we stylized them to fit our sound. Pretty easy to embellish their stuff because there was a solid foundation.
