2. The Great Denny Dias Is Playing....

...that iconic solo on an electric sitar.
Dias' wife recounted a story the Denny bought a Coral electric sitar at a pawn shop for 50 bucks.
That's what he used on this song.
No modifications at all, and I've played one (also in a pawn shop in Manchester).
What a piece of junk!
Yet, Denny knocked of this fantastic solo on one. Amazing.
