Throuhout the summer of
1963 Lenny tried to get a take of this Buddy Johnson song that sounded right. The head of the small record company was Archie Bleyer who also played piano, did arranging etc. and was well known in the business. Archie kept encouraging Lenny but they pretty much put it aside. Then on a day in August Lenny came in and said he wanted another try at it. Magic.
