What's an underrated band that you love but most people haven't heard of?

Matt Walsh is RW. So is Kurt Schlichter. With that out of the way, there are some great bands on the list:

It looks just like that.

Bad Brains

Bad Brains are an American rock band formed in Washington, D.C. in 1977. They are widely regarded as among the pioneers of hardcore punk, though the band's members have objected to this term to describe their music. They are also an adept reggae band, while later recordings featured elements of other genres like funk, heavy metal, hip hop and soul. Bad Brains are followers of the Rastafari movement.

I've played this song for at least 20 people in my life, and everyone dug it, even my mom. So ... if ya don't like this song, there's something amiss

This one's just fun ... nothing genius, but I love it anyway ...

And maybe this one isn't for EVERYone, but I say it kicks ass

These are all from their 1990 album Chemicrazy, which was produced by Scott Litt, who was producing R.E.M. through their heyday, and lots of other great 90's bands.

Somehow, I'm the only one I know who knows this record (unless you know me, and I turned you onto it ), but it's a gem, man.

There are too many that the R & R Hall of Fame hasn't heard of:

Doobie Brothers
Three Dog Night
Badfinger
Grass Roots
and dozens of others.

When I saw the lightweights who were inducted this year, I almost threw up in my mouth.

...so I’ll pick an even more obscure psychedelic folk band. This one was called Eclectricity and they produced 2 albums. They were from south central Indiana and recorded for Redbud and Flying Fish records.

Before they were called Eclectricity they performed as Bob Lucas & Friends at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.
