Chrissie Hynde and the members of Devo were there that day as students. Totally changed the trajectory of their lives.

When it came out I got the album & played it often & loud. Little brother teased me but I knew it was a massive hit at first.

That's a big fail.

Fact is, 10 is just not enough for the 70's, man. No way ...

Glaringly missing:
Rolling Stones ... pick one from Sympathy, Can't Always Get, Miss You ... for example.
Yes - Roundabout or Rush - 2112 ... cannot let Prog go entirely w/o mention.
Jackson 5, Jacksons, or early MJ ... something from them would be in order.
Hall and Oates ... they RULED the radio in the friggin 70's.
Billy Joel ... likewise.
Some choice from the soft rock canon ... some hit from Seals & Crofts or Loggins & Messina or Pablo Cruise or America or Leo Sayer or ...
Kiss ... begrudgingly, they were freaking HUGE.
GRATEFUL DEAD, hello? People think of them as '60's but almost every song you know is from the 70's, I'd bet ya.
JIM FRIGGIN CROCE?
CAT STEVENS?
CSN(Y)?
CAROLE KING?
