He's one of my favorites and I really regret learning about him so late in his life What a stud.



His grandson Cedric's band is worth a listen as well. (that's Cedric singing and playing drums)

Though he does seem to be getting better known lately. He could lay down a tight groove like nobody else. And I really like his unique take on Stagger Lee:
