How can I miss you when you won't go away - Dan Hicks

How can I miss you when you won't go away?
I keep telling you day after day
But you won't listen, you always stay and stay
How can I miss you when you won't go away?

Here's one of my favorite titles:

"How Could You Believe Me When I Said I Love You When You Know I've Been A Liar All My Life?"
Music by Burton Lane, Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner written for the film "Royal Wedding"

It's really old fashioned but fun in its mid-20th century style.

Then there's Stephen Sondheim's "homage/parody" titled "The God-Why-Don't-You-Love-Me?-Oh-You-Do-I'll-See-You-Later Blues"

Again, it's in an earlier style.
