He was not ONLY known for his Peanuts soundtrack, of course, but I dare say that was the most far-reaching of his musical compositions.

Charles Schultz et al made a great musical choice there.

(yes, of course, there are the Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Charlie Parkers of the world, but I'm just speaking of an early introduction to jazz).

I should familiarize myself with more of his work. But this was always a favorite.
