1. I saw U2 in Toronto with some friends. We were so far away he was

like a little ant on stage. Still the music was great.

2. I've been to a few of those concerts!

As you said, the music is still good.

3. One of my friends wanted to see if we could see Bono at his hotel. Her husband

was not into it so I went with her. We sat on a sidewalk for 6 hours with 50 other fans. He never was staying at that hotel. Concrete is not comfy. LOL.

4. I hung around after the show at LA Sports Arena in April 1987 ...

The Indoor leg of The Joshua Tree tour, right after it came out ... we waited by the back parking lot with all the buses and limos ... at one point Little Steven walked through the crowd ... Elton left in his limo ... but finally, after like 2.5 hours ... U2 slowly drove out in their limo through the small throng ... Bono stood up through the moonroof ... and I got a high five.

Also saw them in SF and San Diego in about a 10 day period. It was Spring Break.

Good times, and probably the best shows I ever went to, taken as a whole.

It was all the old time fans, before the record totally exploded over the summer, and the LOVE in those places was UNBELIEVABLE. The record was out like a month and everyone knew all the words to the songs already, like we'd all waited FOREVER since Unforgettable Fire and everyone there had bought TJT the day it came out and heard it like 100 times already ...
