Critically acclaimed in a limited area of the upper Midwest. Soup consisted of band members Doug Yankus (lead and vocals), Dave Fass (bass and vocals), Rob Griffith (drums). It's a well known fact Eric Clapton proclaimed Doug Yankus to be a "much more versatile guitarist than I am" after hearing him play in Milwaukee. Unfortunately hitting it big wasn't to be, however they remain legends to whoever were lucky enough to hear their magic....

Will check out today.

But Big Star, in my defense, was ranted and raved about by the biggest critics of their time at, Rolling Stone, Cream, etc.....
