Saw Dave in a delightfully small acoustic auditorium, last month on my BD. 77 and still playing....

2. Testament to loving to play to an audience.

Not a big one....not important. Just an appreciative one. Love Dave, but - like me - he's not operating in 1977 reality guidelines. (I was 24, Dave was 32)...he was pretty awesome in his time slot.

3. gotten to the place where I'm really not interested in seeing

anybody in anything more than a very modest (read small) sized venue. It just isn't .. real. Were you interested in going to a performance? - or a Trump rally/football game? Complete with a jumbo-tron? And the guy arguing with his wife/girlfriend throughout.

5. Dave played in front of a bunch of 60-70 somethings - who knew his music.

Delightful blend of acoustic and electric. Wasn't the Big Band Sound that I saw in 1995. But neither Dave or me are close to our 1977 selves. So it go's.
