I think some folks believe the Fab Four were an overnight success. John, Paul, and George were together for years before they made it big (at a very young age).

Anyone who thinks the Beatles weren't a rock band needs to reconsider their assessment. They were a rock band, but SO much more.

Lennon had terrible eyesight but refused to wear glasses on stage until he saw a picture of Buddy Holly with his honking frames
