For any fans of Wes Montgomery,

Live in '65. 1 hour and 18 minutes of pure greatness.

Wes Montgomery had definitive cool and west-coast flair yet also earnest, warm sound. Sometimes swinging, or accompanied by lush and exotic orchestration, or soulfully groovin’ with Jimmy Smith. In this case, at home jamming within a quartet just doin’ some straight ahead jazz.

It’s a real treat to watch Wes and his band, laid back and unassuming. Not bad for a self taught, thumb picking, late bloomer who didn’t read music.

Because my Father being a musician here locally used to set in with Wes. But go over to Youtube and listen to Roberta Flack "trying times." Fits the occasion.
