... G*D, then I want to look into his angry face.', just strikes me as an image and an attitude.

'When my father died, it was as if a library had burnt down.' Very striking image.

'Remember me is all I ask, but if remember be a task - forget me.'

4. I've always really liked that library line as well

She's like the perfect blend of art school-avant garde, and Midwestern tall tale tradition. I'm also impressed at how well she can express both whimsy and sadness in the same song, with her trademark deadpan delivery.
Plus, she was always on the cutting edge of including electronics, video, computer animation and all sorts of other things into her stage show long before all that became mainstream.
