Todd Rundgren composed the song. England Dan & John Ford Coley threw in a gospel-esque choral bridge, performed by the Jim Gilstrap Singers, and took it somewhere entirely new and epic.
A good cover of an already-lovely Rundgren tune.

Always liked them and wish their first album, Fables, was available on CD or for streaming.

I never did get around to asking him if he was related to Jim Gilstrap. I might have to look up John to ask.
While I give that a shot, i highly recommend his book, Nathan's Run. It remind me of a John Grisham book, but written well.

or that of England Dans brother, who was even bigger.
