Did it in the early to mid-80s.
Saw The Tubes on an earlier tour. Pretty sure it was at Beginnings, which was a nice rock club in Schaumburg owned by Danny Serrafine from the band Chicago.
Fun fact: The lead guitar player (dude wearing the secret service sunglasses) is named Bill Spooner.
He's a direct descendant of William Archibald Spooner for whom the term spoonerism was coined.

This song actually begins the lp, with this spoken introduction:
"This record you are now playing is another example of the Completion Backward Principle. If you can possibly manage the time, please play both sides at one meeting."

I love this whole album so much.
