Related: About this forumWanna play "where's the bobcat"?
I saw this bobcat on my after supper walk the other day. They are rare to see in my area. I've only seen maybe 5 or 6 in 38 years and I'm out walking a lot! So I'm not waiting for a chance to take a better picture to share. LOL Anyway, these are the kind of pictures you can take if you have a cell phone with a crappy camera. LOL
I was not very far from her/him. But they blend in very well.
It moved several feet from where it was in the previous picture. Then it just sat down and we looked at each other. I took 4 more pictures and I walked away feeling I had intruded on this beautiful creature long enough.

(14,855 posts)... I saw the second pic.
Then I went back to the first pic, and the bobcat's location was immediately obvious. (Below the yellow brush in the background.)
Beautiful animal.

(16,420 posts)I suck at this kind of thing (finding a hidden in a shot like this).
I'm very grateful for the second pic, because I can see what it looks like there. The first one?

(15,036 posts)when he hit a cat, a big cat. He got out, saw it was injured and unconscious, so he piled it into the passenger seat of his car and continued on down the road, looking for a veterinary hospital.
It was a warm summer night, and he (fortunately) had his driver's side window rolled down. As he tooled along, the cat came out of its daze, looked around, and scrambled to get to the window, lacerating this poor man's arms, chest, face and legs on its way out. The tourist continued on down the road, now looking for a hospital for himself.
When the police found the spot where the cat made its escape, it was still there, perched in a tree. It wasn't quite as big as the fella in your picture but it was every bit as much a bobcat. They managed to corral it (they came expecting such a beast), and got it the help it needed.
The tourist? He was patched up and sent on his way, too, hopefully quite a bit wiser.

(9,446 posts)So a bobcat walked into a bar in Arizona in 2009. Unfortunately it's not the beginning of a joke. It bit a couple of people. The police were called and encountered it in the parking lot. It was acting aggressive towards them and they shot it. It tested positive for rabies. Just a very sad story.

(14,559 posts)They are so beautiful and too many people want to make pets of them. That's a no-no.

(16,254 posts)Even then, it was hard to find. I'd make a heck of a hunter.

(16,420 posts)Now that I know where the cat is, I can say that I doubt I would have ever found it on my own! Even now, when I know where it is, I have a hard time spotting it without the circle.

(5,725 posts)Look at the dead center of the pic, then follow the yellow blossoms to the left. Catface is just above the last few flowers. (EDIT: Well, $#!%, someone beat me to it.)
