Distractions 23/09/2022

[Old Crank]

Early day with a doctor's appointment. Coincided with one for my wife. So I hung around town until hers was over.
Started just outside my doctor's office, through Englischergarten and out to Marienplatz and the Neuerathaus. (1908 for the new town hall) Blessed with a sunny day after a week of rain. Englischergarten is the big park in central Munich. Named for the style of garden. English gardens are supposed to be like nature intended. The park is reclaimed swamp land. It is completely planned.
Tomorrow I will post pictures of the world famous activities which happen almost daily in the park. Surfing.

How fresh and green everything is. The buildings and monuments are glorious and the park is restful and lovely.

I esp. like the waterfall, and the closeup photo of the swan!

Things stay green even with the cool weather when you get 6 days of rain.
Tomorrow starts another streak of 6 rainy days.
I'm hoping for a sun break to get pictures of Oktoberfest.
