I have two days to kill in Palm Springs. I can’t say visiting the Salton Sea was a worthwhile effort, but at least I got a few pics.

2. Go over to Joshua Tree National Park

Go over to Joshua Tree National Park. If you've never been there before -- it will knock your socks off. At Jumbo Rocks, it's like stepping back in time to the Flintstones. It should be pretty green there with all the recent rain. It's excellent for some astrophotography.

7. I might go there tomorrow

I flew a plane in here. Me and the other pilot are sharing a rental car. He’s already been there and was telling me about it. I might talk him into going back if we can’t find anything else to do.

8. Anza Borrego and Borrego Springs are nice.

There are over one hundred metal sculptures by Ricardo Breceda spread out in the desert around Borrego Springs.

I'll be in Joshua Tree Saturday night attempting to photograph the green comet.
