Some flowers from today . . . (Original Post) CaliforniaPeggy Feb 2023 OP
I believe you bought them and took them home. mercuryblues Feb 2023 #1
Actually, I didn't, my dear mercuryblues! Pictures are easier to take care of. ♥ CaliforniaPeggy Feb 2023 #2

It sure can! It was about 61 today, but the wind was ferocious and I was wishing I had my jacket on. CaliforniaPeggy Feb 2023 #12

Thanks, I needed that. The temps are falling below zero with a raging snowstorm outside... I really needed something unfrozen to enjoy!

It's been chilly and gray here today, and for the foreseeable future over the rest of the week! Bleah!

I was hoping to capture the very new moon with my new lens, but not this month. Phooey.

Glad you enjoyed these!

It sure feels cold when the temps drop a lot in a short time. I'm from the north but when I was in California, after a while, +50 can feel like freezing.

I'm not usually out and about when it's 50. The normal weather here really spoils you for when it turns cold!

Normally though that's changing in a hurry, but we expect this winter stuff and are ready for it. It's just that it's here now.

I'm fine, though, as long as the power stays on. I went shopping before the storms, bills are all paid, gas in car, I have food and internet, what more could I need? Well, and a piano. Not to mention enough winter wear to live through a very cold event for a couple days and I have a buddy I can go huddle with next to the woodstove if things get dire.

The wind is really noisy so that might keep me up a while.

Your expert eye for composition makes the picture aesthetically pleasing, as well!

I checked the date, thought maybe someone might have given you these for Valentine’s Day! But I see it’s later. They’re beautiful, at any rate!

Those qualities were the same ones that attracted me.

I spotted them in, of all places, my meat market! They routinely display flowers from the little shop across the street.

They are always beautiful, until they wilt! But these were fresh!
