(5,812 posts)I have a wonderful avocado tree...and I took a picture of my first avocado! Just one, not a nice as yours, but your photo made me think of how excited I was to see what my tree was growing!

The last two years, hundreds of them. I gave away more than I can count.
Actually, I discovered my first avocado when it was about the size of the ones in your picture.

(5,812 posts)Avocado trees, as I understand it, have to have a mate somewhere to pollinate them. It seems that for the first few years, this was not happening. Then all of a sudden, WOW, something turned it on!!
Im not 100% sure about the pollination, but that is what I was told.
You are so kind and gracious to everyone. Again, no disrespect meant. Just sharing.
