This one is a cutie, and the leaves make a nice backdrop for photos.

(14,559 posts)I did this in my studio. Brought a weed in from the yard and set it all up before fetching the model. It's a Garter snake and she was too active to shoot until I refrigerated her for 15 minutes or so. My downstair fridge is set to 40f so it isn't harmful to cold blooded creatures but slows them down a lot. I even used 15 shot focus stacking!
I've got some ideas for the macro just not the time. My life is not entirely my own for the time being.
