Still working on the 90mm macro and lighting to go with it.

Finally completed the flash diffuser to work up to 2x life size and am pleased with the soft results I get in studio so took it into the field to see how it worked 'in the wild'.

I need something that folds flat for travel, is rigid, and can bring soft light from 2 to 15 inches in front of the lens. I left the end open so light can go forward to the background but that may be a mistake as the background looks better dark IMO. I can fix that with a modification.

Here's the pics:






Materials are black foam board, clear packing tape for hinges/edges, spray adhesive for sticking the foil to the inside, two part epoxy and a few other bits and pieces. If you want I can get into the weeds with details on attaching to flash etc.

This is designed for both the 60mm and 90mm macros.
