The Flower Lady

[IMG][/IMG]

EDIT: I don't do much in the way of portraiture-type stuff (none, really) and, depending on the way your screen is angled (or not) this one could probably look underexposed. I'm trying to learn how to best capture faces.

Anyway, this is one of my favorite shots, taken at a North Coast farmers' market last year. She was really nice to talk with, and I was taken by the femininity of so much of her attire; yet, it's obvious she has spent a great deal of time outside, perhaps working in her gardens. EDIT: I phrased that quite poorly: I think her face is feminine, and quite lovely.

I think she is quite lovely (not the quality of the photo; rather, the individual).

1. Good Pic!

I try to do some portraits as I like them (not that I am at all good at doing so). I think you have an excellent photo here, be happy!

5. Thanks, Solly Mack! I thought so, too.

there is a lot wrong with the photo, especially in the exposure levels. I tried working with it in post-processing, but I think I only succeeded in making it worse.

I've got lots to learn about lighting, composition, etc., when it comes to shooting faces.
