Our deer friends--back again.

Today there were five males hanging out on the hill across from our driveway when Snowy and I
went out for our lunchtime walk. I was so ticked I didn't have my camera. For about 30 seconds,
three of the males were positioned with their heads all together. Most amazing view. We rarely see
the deer during the middle of the day, but it had been cool and overcast all morning.

Here are my best shots--AFTER our walk--they were still there and I grabbed my camera to come back
out and see what I could get.

together even IF I'd had my camera because Snowy would like nothing better than to
chase the deer. She's very good about standing still--most of the time--when we're walking
and I want to shoot. But 5 deer? It might have been asking too much. She could smell them,
but because they are so well camouflaged, she couldn't see many of them from her lower
to the ground point of view with the hill blocking her sight line.
