Why I doubt I'll be entering any more contests...

Because, despite the "willing substitutes" list, I strongly believe it is the winner's duty to host the next contest. Should my entry win, I would have no choice but to host, which would, obviously, require me being able to see all thirty entries, from whomever they might come, including non-regulars in this group. And, over the past week of I/P and MH17, I doubt if there are thirty DUers left who are not on my "full ignore" list. At least, it seems that way at times. So, sorry...

I'm a very opinionated, way to the left, member of DU. Except in this group and the Cancer Group. In the former I'm just an amateur photographer hoping to learn and improve. In the latter I'm just another member with cancer.

If you were to win a contest, it is only going to be about photos.....there will be no talk of other issues. Promise. And you don't have to vote for people you don't like, even if their photo is the best.

Have I convinced you that we all love to see your contributions yet????
