Playing with Water.

I've been playing with oil and water while exploring water as a theme for the next photo contest. You can guess the direction I am going to get my entry.

I wanted to share some of my results. I like the textures created.

The first one reminds me of crocodile hide.

This one kind of looks like cracked glass. I twisted the bowl back and forth before this shot.

I swirled the oil around and it created the illusion of a slight dip, as if the water is falling a short distance. The left side, just before the dip, looks like it is melting.

Supplies:

Glass bowl, no markings on bottom or sides.
Metal confetti dots in multiple colors. (placed under bowl)
Multi-colored feathers. (placed under bowl)
Water
Olive Oil
Straw
Table lamps (2)

these are gorgeous. Each has a distinct personality - the middle one has the aquamarine surprise, and I start thinking of gemstones. Really cool Solly.
Amazing.
